We enjoy walking this trail when the weather is nice. When you are on the bridge, there is no windbreak so bundle up if it is cold and windy. Also, there is no shade, so I do not find this activity enjoyable when the sun...More

Wonderful bike trail, makes for a fabulous, relatively easy (translate:flat) ride. Wide open, goes thru fields, small towns, open countryside. Great for the whole family as well as the monster bike-riders. In the summer, I will go jump on it at 5 am and knock...More

On a beautiful day there is nothing better than either biking or taking a stroll on the High Trestle Trail. You will see the birds soaring in the thermals and the river carving its way below.

We've done the trail several times. Some short rides and longer rides all the way from Ankeny. The lights on the bridge at night are very cool. We live this ride/walk.
