This ~1 mile roundtrip has almost no elevation change. You hike over a creek (simply step on the large rocks), through a lush bamboo forest, and then you are greeted by a swimming hole. Unfortunately, there is housing near the hole, so that somewhat disrupts...More

We went with friends & our young kids. The stream is a little difficult to cross if you are in shoes & socks - but as we were crossing I watched a young mother with infant twins cross it with no problem. One twin was...More

We hiked the Judd trail last week while in Oahu and it was disappointing. It is just one big loop and the signs are confusing. We never "found" the waterfall and even though it was a nice hike, it was not what we were expecting.

Pretty easy hike except for the stream crossings (over and back). If wearing water shoes, the stream crossings aren't an issue; I was using my hiking boots and didn't want to get them wet (for use the next day) so boulder hopping over was a...More

This fairly easy, modestly-long hike with beautiful views of tall trees and bamboo. Can be muddy with any amount of rainfall, but still a very enjoyable hike.

Judd Trail provides a short escape from the towering buildings of Honolulu. You can expect to see natural flora and even a small bamboo forest. The one down side is that if you have good hearing you can still hear the sound of loud cars...More

This is one of the shorter hikes available on the island and is very close to Honolulu if you have a car. It connects to another trail or two if you want to extend the hike. Parking is just along the road near the trail...More

I have a three and a four year-old so it is hard to find a little trail that has excitement but not too difficult so they don't loose their enthusiasm. They loved it. The best part is that you walk through different terrains : easy...More

This trail was very fun! My kids (ages 8, 13, 16), husband and I all enjoyed it. However, bring shoes with good tread or hiking boots highly recommended. At the beginning, there is a stream to cross, you will soak your shoes and part of...More

The trail is very beautiful. Although it is slightly muddy and not well marked. There are lots of smaller trails that make the actual trail confusing. Thought we were going the wrong way for a bit but we just kept going and found a sign....More
