We visited here around 6:45 AM and were the first ones at the crater. The views are terrific. The water is very clear. I've heard of people late in the day it gets very crowded. The ship we took only had about 40 people on it so it didn't feel crowded. We've never been snorkeled before, but it was awesome.... More

Definitely a very unique experience however the people on the island hype up the snorkeling like there will be an abundance of colorful fish. There are plenty of fish, however when snorkeling there are hundreds of others with you, making many of the fish swim away. We visited the turtle bay and there was 1 turtle. You can see more... Great Trip with a small Group and cool guys in Assistence! Early Start before all the big boats disturb the experience! Both Sides of Molokini, another stop to snorcle with sea turtles and of course bumping the waves- Great fun!

What a great catamaran and crew. The second windiest port in the world was calm and the water was flat on the trip out to Molokini. Fresh fruit and goodies laid out for anyone who hadn't had breakfast. There were wetsuit tops for rent, thank goodness because I had my own long sleeve top and bottom for warmth but needed... More

We took a snorkeling trip here with Trilogy (they were great). There were honestly more people then fish at this site, it's VERY popular. This could have been due to many factors: water temperature, time of day, time of year, destruction of reef habitats due to pollution-sunblock namely, etc. In general I was not impressed with the Maui reefs, we... If you are a snorkeler, you will appreciate being able to see to depths closer to 100 feet without leaving the surface. Enclosed in an arc, the water is also relatively calm...so if you are a first time snorkeler, you will gain a lot of confidence and comfort on this trip. And when you learn how this little crater really... More

You can snorkel, snuba or SCUBA at this crater. There is quite a bit of fish life here, though the reef is somewhat disappointing compared to some in other locations. Perhaps if you are scuba diving you would be able to see a lot more. We did see a great variety of fish, orange sea urchins, and a large Moray... More

Even if the water was not rough and even if there were less people in the water and even if the reef had more colour - there was still very little fish to see. Very disappointing. Go elsewhere.

Our family of four took a half-day snorkeling trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation. We visited Turtle Town and then Molokini Crater. This was by far the highlight of our trip. The boat had quite a few people on it, but it did not seem like there were that many because you could sit at the bottom or top of... More

We made the trip to go snorkeling. The water was pretty rough and there wasn't much to see. I have snorkeled many places and the water here was deep with no reef and not much color. I did not like the waves with my children. The trip took about an hour from the dock which was about as long as... More
