We might have just been lucky with the perfect sunset, but it was after a rainy day and the sky was just clearing and we stopped there by chance around sunset and it was just perfect. The beach seems nice, and was completely empty (although...More

Nice quiet beach near the airport, it’s good to sit down out your towel, swim and just enjoy. There is enough parking and the beach was not crowded when I was there, the water is also pretty calm even in windy days.

There are plenty of perfect beaches on Maui, but this one is literally a 3 minute drive from the OGG rental car returns. So when you've got 20 minutes or an hour to pass near the airport before your flight or on your first day...More

Just trying to kill an hour and came across this gem! Unbelievable kite surfers kept us engrossed for hours! Obviously wind is the key...but not to be missed!

Kite beach is at the end of this main beach and is THE place on Maui to see kite surfers, sailboarders and any of the newest designs of adventure windsurf craft. We got here a bit late due to a later flight, so I did...More

To get to this beach you go thru an industrial area close to Kahului Airport. When we reached the beach area to our surprise we could see at least 100 kite and sail board surfers. Amazing, the surf was not something a novice in these...More

Went to the beach very close to the airport, this hotel was 5 minutes from my hotel. Relaxing park, no crowd, beautiful beach, not fee to park or use. Relaxing time with family.

SUPER POPULAR WITH LOCALS AND NOT BAD FOR VISITORS TOO. Here’s the thing – most central north shore beaches are less than popular with visitors because of gusty onshore north-east trade winds a majority of the time (other beach areas in MAUI get some protection...More

We walked from the cruise port (not a nice walk) and back. The beach is long and inviting but since it is facing trade winds, you can get sand blasted on many days. There are some coves that are free of this but most parts...More
