There is a parking lot here and changing rooms. Yes, you can go swimming in the pond under the waterfall, but be careful as the path is rocky and uneven. Bring some cat food with you to feed the feral cats and just maybe a mongoose will come out to see you too.

The Pua’a Ka’a State Wayside is a little tricky getting into the water but pleasant enough once in. The slippery rocks and the stoney pool floor are a hazard and must be treated with respect. Great photo opportunity though.

A great place to stop on the road to (or from) Hana. A beautiful waterfall, and decent restrooms; one can dip their toes (or more) and/or just enjoy the views. A pleasant way to immerse in some of the natural beauty of the island.

This waterfall is just beside one of the many one lane bridges and a great stop. Easy to see from the road but we made the short hike to put our feet in the water.

Here is another great stop on the Road to Hana. There is a waterfall and also a great area for swimming or dipping your toes in the water. Bathrooms are available at this park, but when we were there, both stalls of the women's bathroom were out of order. Still a nice place.

Relaxing stop on the road to Hana. The water is refreshing after being the car and the warm weather. Worth the stop!

This was a great stop along the road to Hana. Quick walk up to a waterfall with a pool to swim in. Good to have water shoes but not an absolute. Water is cold but refreshing. Beautiful waterfall. There are picnic tables and a variety of cute animals hanging out- roosters, cats, mongoose. Bathrooms across the road.

An OK place to stop along the Hana Highway around milepost 23. If anything, it has a restroom right at the parking lot. Trails lead to some waterfalls that were nice, but there are bigger and prettier ones further down. If you are planning to do a picnic on your drive, this is probably one of the better spots.
