I have been here during winter and during summer months. Both times, the water was very calm. The reef shelf goes quite a ways out before you reach the wave breaks so it is not super deep and is pretty calm. On our most recent...More

We got to the beach late but still found a good spot to sit. The snorkeling was amazing! Turtles, eels, and so many fish. Next time I would plan to get to the beach earlier and bring snacks/drinks.

The beach was not crowded and the water was pretty calm. We snorkeled and the water was very clear- saw lots of fish and even some turtles.

This was a great beach to spend an afternoon. Very long beautiful blue water. You can go out a good ways. It was very windy when we went

This is a long crescent shaped sandy beach with plenty of shady areas to stake out a place to spend the entire day. The golden sand is easy on the feet, there are gradual, shallow sandy entry points, safe calm clear water due to one...More

Best snorkeling is in the summer months. The reef is great and we saw tons of fish (and eels...yuck!). Parking isn't an issue. There is no bathroom or lifeguard here and the beach is small, but uncrowded. There's a bathroom about 5 min down the...More

I don't really want more people to know about Anini, because one of the nicest things is how quiet it is. There's also lots of shade. We like to drive past the state park, almost to the end of the road. That's the most beautiful...More

We were not as impressed with Anini as we were with other beaches. The snorkeling is much better at tunnels. Most of the coral reef was dead and very few fish or turtles. Swimming not the best either due to reef.

I love Anini because 50% of the beach-goers are locals, so that tells ya something! Anini is 3 miles off the main highway, but the drive down to the beach isn't bad. Most secluded beaches entail a hike, and/or a 4-wheel drive, but not Anini....More

Calm water for little swimmers and plenty of shade. This makes a pretty spot to walk along at sunset as well.

I would consult a travel guide. We were at this beach in June and it was perfect.

Yes. This beach is safe to camp at. It is popular with the locals and has toilets, cold showers and running water available. You will be right on the beach at one of the best snorkeling locations on the island. Hope you... More
