We never saw so many surfers and boogies boarders having the time of their lives before in one place! Just a short walk on the lawn east from Poipu Beach is a small, unprotected lava rock lined sandy beach with a continuous swell of unstoppable...More

Several large schools of fish, eels, trumpetfish, a turtle, a monk seal, and some fish we'd never seen before (although we have snorkeled often!) A great place for couples and families!

We were tired and wanted a good dinner on the beach. This was our fifth visit to Kauai and never ate here before. The staff was very pleasant and we were seated quickly. Drinks were good and food was equally as nice.

Moderate level of medium to large fish close to shore. Very few small fish. Some coral but lacks color. Very well protected from waves but there is still a swell. Very difficult to get into the water due to rough volcanic rocks at shoreline

And your water socks. Once you get out from the beach, Hawaii's volcanic shore makes walking a bit rocky for tenderfeet. But there is a protected area for the children as well as a slightly less protected area for snorkeling. The large park and nearby...More
