Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy the day we went here, but it was still worth while. You can either stop in the small parking lot by the lookout and see the lighthouse from a distance, or you can drive in - there is a...More

The guides are decent.... and pointed out a shearwater under a bush nearby, and then had a scope pointed across the cove to a fluffy baby albatross - very cool to see. The views are so beautiful from that point and the lighthouse. Very interesting....More

The lighthouse itself is interesting to learn about. The views are gorgeous as they are in almost every location in Hawaii. We went on the Monday but it was closed on Mondays but we were able to view it from the entry gate which gives...More

Though finding the lighthouse was not simple, the payoff was not disappointing. The view from the area around the lighthouse was truly excellent. Several whales were spotted in the ocean below. The only disappointment here was that the lighthouse was not open. Maybe it never...More

It is worth the drive to check out the lighthouse and see all the birds. It is a beautiful view out at the end by the lighthouse. Make sure to walk out there and pay the $5 entrance fee.

This is very worthwhile BUT check the website to make sure it is open. Also if it opens at 10am you want to be there at 10 or you will be waiting to get down to the parking lot. The parking lot fills up fast...More

Although the point is moot as I write this, the park is operated by the Federal Government, so it may well be affected in the event of anothershutdown. The site's phone number is 808-828-1413.
