Watch the factory workers dipping shortbread cookies in chocolate and partake in the free samples. So many choices to choose from. There is even ice cream! There are beautiful packed boxes, and they ship to the mainland too. Joyous visit!

This was one of the last places we saw on the Big Island before returning to the mainland. We wish we could have been there earlier in the day. Their candy making room is all open with a glass wall. If you get there earlier,...More

Stop here as part of a tour. You receive samples as you enter of candy, cookies and coffee. I didn't try the coffee but the candy and cookie pieces were very good. I wish that I hadn't already bought cookie souvenirs because I would've preferred...More

Big Island Candies in Hilo is a great place to stop to tour the company, sample cookie, candies and coffee and buy gift for friends and families from Big Island when you return home.

Even if you don't buy anything, this is a nice little diversion to check out how they make snacks and nibble on some free samples and coffee. While we didn't buy anything, the price seems pretty reasonable.

Shortbread cookies, brownies and even haupia ice cream. If this is the only souvenir you buy family back home they'll be perfectly happy.

We always order from here but finally came to the Big Island so we had to stop by the store. Easy to find and close to airport. They give samples of their cookies and optional coffee to go along with. The shop was extremely crowded....More
