Exploring Hawaii’s Big Island can be a big undertaking, but it doesn’t have to be. Avoid the stress of planning out all the details with this guided tour that includes round-trip transport, lunch, snacks, and bottled water for your convenience. Because there’s minimal walking distance during this tour, it’s perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. Plus, if the weather gets dreary, rain gear is provided to keep you dry.

As soon as you walked in you got a sample of one of their treats (this is pre-Covid so things may have changed) and you knew that this place made high quality goods. The person at the counter was extremely generous with the samples and I must say that her strategy worked because we did buy. My wife loved the brownies and I was a fan of the signature shortbreads. However, the best item in the shop is Harumi's Hawaiian Salt Cookies. Those are a perfect concoction of sweet and salty and crunchy. Yum!

I am a local that visits Big Island Candies fairly regularly. This past Sunday after I entered the store there was only one other couple in the store quite a distance from us. I was trying to inquire if they had any packaged coffee available for sale. He interrupted me and told me they do not handle comingle customers. I came into the store to purchase coffee and some chocolates for a gift.....he was so unwelcoming that Big Island Candies will be at the bottom of my list to purchase gifts for a long time.

The boxes of candies are pricey ~$15-$20/box comparable to See's prices. There is a shop in Honolulu, but it doesn't carry all of the products that this flagship factory store.

Samples are offered as soon as you step inside! They do a great job of combining milk chocolate and macadamia nuts with some extra crunch! Beautifully packaged too. Parking is easy.

The most beautiful candy store I have ever been in! And Delicious! The people who work here are so nice, and you can watch them making candy. Also, they have great smoothies.
