Very beautiful, the beware of snakes sign had me a little worried but didn't see any. It wasn't crowded and I would recommend it for a romantic stroll. The surround area has some nice shops including two antique stores and a hugh costume store.

This is a must visit. Very beautiful riverwalk, with the perfect landscape to enjoy on either side of the river (Georgia and South Carolina) whether you want to sit down and/or walk around. The river adds another benefit to the visitors, by having informative plaques...More

Even though it was very cold when we were here, we were drawn to the riverwalk by the view we saw from our hotel room. A lovely combination of business, local information, and personal residences... and a nice place to walk.

Very nice area to walk along the river, quiet, peaceful and playgrounds along the way for children to stop and burn off some energy. Take a picnic lunch or snacks and enjoy the view sitting on one of the benches.

Augusta has done it right with this Riverwalk. Well kept with upper and lower walkways in some sections. Playground for the little kiddos and benches for the rest of us along the way. The only thing that would make it better would be a café...More

It's "paved" and saw a lot of folks in wheelchairs on it.
