The walk is at your own pace to stop & look at the turtles, fish, birds, snakes, etc. We did not see any river otters but could see the dams they have built. We visited on a Sunday & had few other people there beside us. We enjoyed the elevated walk around the swamp nature trail. It was beautiful & relaxing.... More

We enjoyed hiking through the park and seeing the wildlife there. I am a birder, so I especially enjoyed watching the Egrets, grebes and hawks in the area. The highlight was the hummingbird that hover near us for a while. We hiked for a couple of hours and wished we had more time. Water, good walking shoes, sunscreen and bug... More

The kids and I really enjoyed the nature park and all the activities there. I especially enjoyed the bees in the building in the glass case that hung on the wall so you could observe them building a best and a hive. Very clean, staff very helpful, and very beautiful.

This was a terrific nature walk with no one really around and the ability to see many egrets, herons, turtles, & beautiful trees with Spanish moss. We didn't see any alligators though and were hoping to see one in the pond.

I enjoyed exploring this area. There was plenty of nature to enjoy and things to see. I was only able to walk about 6 miles around the area nearest to the visitor center, I am sure there is much more to see. I look forward to exploring this area more. If you come to explore I would recommend good walking... More

Perfect trail that can keep you occupied for a couple hours. We saw hawks and other birds, a sunbathing alligator and many turtles. There are swinging benches and a few lookouts to take a break and take it all in! Very well maintained.

Several miles of flat trails, some of it boardwalk over swamp areas. You can sign up for guided hikes, but there is no need. There are also 12 large, shallow ponds (originally used as tertiary treatment for wastewater) that attract migrating birds - so it's a noted birding location. The park is closed after dark, and should be, for personal... More

The weather was great so we decided to make an adventure in the park. Good number of trails which let you determine your hike length but still let's you enjoy the beautiful animals and scenery.
