This was such a gem to find in Augusta. It was so much like the cathedrals of Italy that I visited 39 years ago. So beautiful and interesting. Glad it was saved from destruction.

We didn't go inside the church just wanted to see the stained glass windows which were beautiful.....took a quick look around the building and moved on; the church building is tall enough to see part of the stained glass as you drive over the bridge.

We had read the history of this former church and how it was restored as a cultural center. The stained glass windows rivaled anything we have seen in Italy, France, and Spain. Don't miss this free tourist site.

The stained glass windows are worth stopping to see. The little museum downstairs is interesting too.

This former Catholic church, now restored, has beautiful stained glass windows of various saints and numerous wonderful, old statues to view and reflect upon in this serene building.
