Beautiful Gardens

Lovely place to visit. Bring your own refreshments. Uncomfortably warm in the summer, and very few blooms in the winter, so spring and fall are your best times.

There is so much to explore at the gardens. Every inch is well taken care of and absolutely gorgeous. And KID friendly to! I have even managed the stroller and a toddler through the paths.

Our son and daughter-in-law are planning to have their reception in the Terrace Room at the gardens. The Georgia Garden Club Building it is in is wonderfully set up for functions of 100 people!

Located on the southeast side of Athens outside the bypass on Milledge Avenue. This garden area has both more formal indoor and outdoor garden area as well as several miles of well marked trails with native plants. $2 donation recommended but not required.

We sorrento a an afternoon walking around. This time of year (January), not much is in bloom, but it's still a great place to wander.

Great place to take visiting relatives or to go on a relaxing stroll through the gardens and along the trails. Wonderful any time of year, but particularly the spring!

Great place to interact with nature. My wife and I took in the fall colors with the various trees and shrubs located throughout the grounds which include multiple hiking trails, some along the Oconee River. We left with a feeling of peace.

We only walked the paths, but even in December it was lovely and interesting. Some jasmine was blooming and holly decorated the trails. Lots of variety in trees and shrubs. Sculptures lined one area. Must return to see the indoor Arboretum.

The layout is well designed and there are paths everywhere and little areas to sit and soak in the beauty. I love the way the different areas of the garden are so distinct in design. We went in the fall and even though there were not tons of flowers in bloom, the trees were beyond spectacular! We had a group... More
