Interesting and beautiful. Colorful and very active with people coming and going. Small shops and place to pop into. Loads of bargains and very good for pictures.

It’s nice and pleasant to sit down in the heat and relax. Nice park with mayan monuments. In mid January the Christmas decoration was still out. Also it was lightning in the evening. Tuk tuk ride is $1. Souvenir shops and restaurants are around.

The plaza is of course very centrally located with multiple hotels, restaurants, street vendors, souvenirs stores and coffee shops around it. It's an area where you feel safe to be at all times and its mainly the hang out spot for locals and tourist. We really enjoyed walking around because the climate mid evening was very pleasant with lots of wind blowing. Over all the city central plaza was a great place to be at. If your a coffee lover like me I can definetely recommend going to San Rafael Cafe. The coffee is freshly brew every day and the coffee beans are locally grown in Copan, which means its super tasty 🤤!!!!!!

We were in the central park of Copan during Semana Santa (Holy week) and the children were dancing in traditional costume, it was breezy and the open air market was carpeted with pine needles. The main square was clean and well maintained.

This is truly a small village with all the charm and character you would expect. The people come to the square a night to visit and enjoy the evening, and it is a great opportunity to people watch and meet new friends.
