When you arrive and begin your walk to the springs it’s like walking into a ancient time zone. The waters are healing and refreshing. There is camping spaces available for those who want to camp out.

First, getting here takes at least 45 minutes from town. That being said, you will see so much along the drive- many residential areas and small corn and coffee farms. Reallly enjoyed seeing these back roads. The hot springs is amazing. The natural setting takes away stress and the mineral baths were great. All types of folks here with families from seniors to little ones. My three teenage boys loved it. What a fantastic 1/2 day trip from Copán.

Early December was not a buggy time of the year. This is the reason why the place is called Agua Caliente...😎

There is no need for a fancy hotel or spa, the most natural hot springs will boost your energies and leave you feeling like a new person. Very relaxing environment and nice attention.

When we were at the hot springs it was not crowded. The friendly staff were helpful and the other visiting families were considerate. The different temperature pools allowed everyone to find their own comfort level. The grounds have been attractively managed, lighted in the evenings. Be sure to wear flip-flops or other shoes for the paths since some of the paths are stony.
