This was really interesting and a great way to see the wildlife up close. We got great pictures and had a fun time. Only down side was the unmentioned 45 min bus ride each way. We took this thru the cruise line and the AC was not working well which made the ride very uncomfortable

My wife and I took advantage of the zip line and park tour on our recent stay in Roatan. This is the first zip line I have ever attempted and I found it to be easy, yet filled with presumable necessary safety concerns. The staff ensured that everyone had a good time and completed the activity safely. However, the park... More

I went to Gumbalimba Park as part of an excursion while I was on the Norwegian Dawn. I thoroughly enjoyed the part of the park that had the monkeys. I wish we would have had more time in that area of the park, but we didn't. The guide talked a little about interacting with the birds, but when we got... More

Our guide through the park was Nash. He was very good and informative. We walked through the park as he pointed out beautiful plants and animals. Iguanas, birds and monkeys were the highlights of the walk. Having the monkeys climb and jump on me was the highlight of the trip. My kids Loved the experience. I would love to do... More

It was a cruise excursion for adults but the park is aimed at families and children. A fibre glass 'cave' with a plastic cannon, poor imitation weapons and a hideous plastic statue of a pirate was a waste of time. The insectarium is a room full of cases with pinned dead creatures - nothing living or flying. The guide from... More

A great place to take the kids. We were on a cruise ship and used our excursion trip to visit Gumbalimba park. We signed up to see the monkeys but the entire park was great. Our tour guide was exceptional, full of knowledge about the island and the park. We were able to get great pictures of the interaction with... More

Of course my main objective was to get to see and play with the monkeys. But, I really enjoyed the tour of the botanical gardens, learning about what they local people use for medicine, etc. I also enjoyed seeing all the beautiful Macaws and the rope bridge was awesome. There weren't a ton of monkeys running around by our turn... More

Going to Roatan you cant pass up going to Gumbalimba Park. This eco park is full of wildlife and foliage. Be treated to the interaction with monkeys that are not caged but free roaming that on their own terms come to interact with you. Parrot encounters and photos, igauanas, tons of hummingbirds, beautiful scenery. You can also zipline the treetops... More

Great zip line tour starting at the top of the hill and going through the jungle - passing monkeys and lizards along the way.

We booked this excursion through our cruise. We loved it! Wear comfortable shoes for walking, it's worth it. Our guide was very informative about the wildlife of Roatan as well as the macaws and monkeys before we arrived. I've never seen so many iguanas in one place! The monkeys choose who they want to interact with and they came to... More
