This place is beautiful! We'd heard how beautiful the gardens were so we went to wander around. Keep in mind though that there may be a charge for that. Afterwards, we asked after coffee and were told we should have paid. Whoops! In the end,...More

The grounds at Hotel Atitlan are absolutely fantastic. The view of Toliman and San Pedro volcanoes is stunning. We were surprised to find out that room service was not available unless you are in a suite. Also, you cannot charge anything in the gift shop...More

The gardens are magnificent but the hotel is more expensive than most on Lake Atitlan. It's really worth it to stop by for a meal at their beautiful patio restaurant and see the spectacular gardens. Go before 5pm so you can see the birds.

I've stayed here on several occasions now and it has always been a wonderful experience. The grounds are gorgeous. The location is about 5 minutes outside of city center so it's very quiet - and a tuk tuk costs 10Q. Amazing breakfast! Best views in...More
