Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There is a notice saying that the gardens are closed from 8th December 2019 until further notice. It would be good if they (and Tripadvisor) updated their online information.

The botanical garden is small but well stocked with many many different plants. Did not give it 5 stars because the museum is not very nice. However, the gardens themselves are worth a visit and it's a lovely respite from the city.

The garden is well-kept and has a few specimen trees and plants. There is no guide and several of the plants are not labeled. Upon arriving the gate was closed to the parking lot. I had to get someone to open it then they had to call another person to sign me in and take the money. There is a museum at the same location. It has a few interesting things to see.

The garden was not in bloom. It is very nicely maintained and would be nice at the time of flowers. The other part of the exhibits of minerals, animals, insects, and fungus is more in a second grade field trip. It is inexpensive

I love botanical gardens, so I am already biased. What Guatemala’s Jardin Botanico lacks in diversity, it does compensate in charm. I suggest you avoid their “museum” altogether, which is completely unremarkable (and, to be honest, a bad joke of what a museum should be), and instead go straight to the garden. Most plants are not identified, and I would have loved to see more diversity. A nice place to spend a couple of hours or even a romantic morning or afternoon. Make sure you pay a visit to their amazing, big, century-old euforbia. Too bad their hours are pretty restricted, as they close at 4 pm.

Lovely space to pull away from city life. The signage was deficient and the collection of native Guatemalan plants was weak.

Nice, quiet place in busy part of the city. Museum is rather poorly equipped but the garden is pretty. Many trees, flowers, flying birds and butterflies. Cool exposition with different kinds of cactus plants.

The botanical garden is splendid! I rushed it and spent 1 hour there, but you can easily spend the afternoon. There is a lot too see and it smells so good (pine, wet earth, basil...). The garden is well kept and clean, and the staff was wonderful. It is quite paradoxal; the place is so peaceful but it's downtown so you hear the cars and the honking. The entrance fee (Q10) includes the entrance to the natural history museum. If you like nature, I definitely recommend it.

These are well ordered gardens offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city! With a knowledgeable guide we enjoyed learning all about the different plants and trees from all over the world. We had not allowed enough time though - two hours would have been nice! Some of the plant labels were missing, but the ones that were in place gave excellent information, which would have pleased Carolus Linnaeus, whose statue welcomes visitors to the gardens!

Tienen Parqueo propio o cercanos? Abren domingos?
Hola! El Jardin Botánico es realmente muy básico, y pequeño. No tiene estacionamiento propio y no es fácil obtenerlo en los alrededores. No abre los domingos
