I'll start by saying the the overall experience of doing the hike and seeing the ruins was great. The ruins are nothing like you can see at Tikal or other more developed places, but it's still cool to see them in their more "natural" state...More

We booked a 5-day El Mirador trip with Oscar and Anabil from Reino Kan, and also booked a day trip to Tikal once we got to Flores. We had a million and one tourist questions before we even got to Guatemala about what to bring,...More

I can not say enough good things about Antonia and Abel, two brothers, one who organized and the other to guide our trip. The hike in to Mirador is an adventure, camping under the stars, watching sunsets and sunrise, having the food carried and prepared...More

For something way "out there" and as an alternative to Tikal, go here. It's a mostly unexcavated site but more mysterious than Tikal. Go with a nice group of friends and enjoy the walk there, which is half the fun. Watch out for which company...More

My husband and I just completed El Mirador in 4 days. The trip was incredible and on the first day arriving at El Mirador ruins we had them to ourselves. Totally magical. We went through Dinastia Kan which is run by Antonio. From beginning to...More
