Went here for the day looking to get lots of hiking in, ( we did ) and hoping to see a Jaguar, but that didn't happen... Hiking was very good, make sure you have insect repellent on as it's a jungle, with lots of creatures,...More

We spent the entire day, 7am-4pm, hiking at Cockscomb and had an excellent time. We arrived by taxi at 7am and immediately started the Tiger Fern Trail, reaching the top in time to see the fog rolling through the jungle below, which was beautiful. It...More

We spent 3 days at Cockscomb Basin and stayed in one of the cabins there. It was off season, so it was wonderfully peaceful, and we loved listening to the rain on the roof at night. Regarding cabin bookings, we were told upon booking that...More

Two adults and two kids easily hiked the trails. A refreshing swim in the waterfall on a hot day was the highlight.

This was our 2nd visit here and we enjoyed it just as much. The Tiger Fern hike is challenging and much more than just a casual hike. But the secluded waterfall is so worth it if you can manage the hike. Make sure you go...More

If you are searching a wildlife experience you will be desappointed, specially if you visited the jungle in South America. That is quite wild! However if you are just looking for a good trekking, you will love it. I did expert trekking (about 16 km)...More

We decided to try the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Preserves after reading positive reviews and hearing locals talk about it. Since we had a rental car, we decided to forgo a ‘guided tour’ and try it out for ourselves. Tickets to the park cost $5 each...More
