Enjoyed the evening at soul project with my wife and friends. Downstairs bar services local beer and the owner served up his very own homemade wine. The venue itself is clean and adorned by art on every wall and corner. A local duo sang cover songs but not too cheesy one's.

Went to Soul Project on a Saturday night in San Ignacio. Very welcoming atmosphere and while a lot of the clientele is very young, its great for mature people as well. Fun swing seats, a big bar and local wines and beer. Local contemporary art on the walls and rotating local entertainment. You can sit inside or on the veranda facing the street and people watch. Centrally located just up from the police station, or down from the San Igancio hotel. A hostel is upstairs. Very relaxed and yet energizing at the same way, if I explained that right. Would go again.. Terrific service and patrons talking and getting to know each other. But you can just sit and chill alone if you like. Comfortable if you are a woman traveling alone and don't want to be bothered, which is not something you can say about a lot of places in Belize.…

This odd bohemian Art Bar is right on the edge of downtown. Many locals frequent this place for it's Music, Poetry, and nice Homemade Artisan Wines. It is only open a few nights a week though. There is also a popular hostel upstairs, so many of the international guests mingle here as well.…

Finally visited the Soul Project, and i am so thrilled that i did. They were hosting a poetry night, there was drumming, live music, and dancing. Thrilling! i was only sorry that i got there late and at the end of a super long day, were i in the peak of my energy, i would enjoyed it even more. i also had a lovely iced tea there, (i tasted mint in there :) to end a super cool night. They have lovely wine there..went home high and feeling good..also the surroundings very appealing with single swings smiling people and live music performance from local and international.Lovely art paintings from someone obsessed in eyes and emotions hanged around the walls.Keep it up!!…
