It was a short walk from the parking area to the falls and swimming pools. You need to climb some wooden steps, but it is not too bad. The falls are quite nice to see and the water is not too cold.

Everything was a little funky until we got to the falls. We weren't sure if the parking area was safe, the trail appeared unused, and, after seeing all the trash at Rio On Pools, we were a wary. When we got to the falls, all...More

After a short but steep hike we arrived at the falls. The hike in is all down hill. It is a good idea to soak in the cool water just before you leave. You build up a lot of heat climbing back to your car....More

This waterfall area is very much off the beaten track, but worth finding. If you are taking a tour of Caracol, it's easy to see on the return journey to San Ignacio. It's a bit of a climb down, but wooden steps have been built...More

We enjoyed swimming under the big rock falls! We stayed at Blancaneaux Lodge and horseback rode to the falls.

It's a pretty good hike. If I remember right, about 2 to 3 hours.
