One of two edifices worth seeing
Jan 2020
This colonial style Supreme Court bldg is one of only two buildings worth seeing in Belize's major city.
It stands at the beginning of the main Albert St, while the other one - the St. John's Church is at its end.
However, it's just a quick photo stop and nothing more.

Belize City Trolley Ride
Mar 2019
We were on an excursion with Princess Cruises in Belize City in an open-trolley. The culture and history of this old city was alive and vibrant as were the people. We marvelled at the condition of the buildings, including the Supreme Court of Belize as we drove by, since it is subject to the wind, rain and heat that abounds in the Caribbean.

If getting married in Belize city, this would be a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos!
Apr 2019
This is probably the most recognisable landmark in the city. It is a grand and beautiful lady with intricate wrought iron works in its railings and central clock tower.

Definitely worth a stop! Would make the loveliest background for wedding photos standing on the central staircase!

If you’re on a tour or with a taxi just ask to drive past to have a closer look. It is one of the few colonial era buildings that survives in decent condition.

Just OK
Jul 2018 • Friends
Drove by it a few times and thought it was a pretty old colonial style building. Definitely needs some freshen up though.

One of the most interesting buildings here
Apr 2018 • Solo
Very beautiful building, not well conserved, but very peculiar. It is a pity that you cannot visit inside even if there is no court session happening. In other places you can.... The board of tourism must work on that.

Working History
Mar 2018
Ladies and Gentlemen, if you have a curious mind, go visit the Supreme Court of Belize - And see a piece of history from colonial times that is STILL BEING USED as a functional couthouse! Be prepared to step into history - read up on the history of Belize from Mayan times to the present - its entanglements with Guatemala, Mexico, Great Britain, and Spain. It's incredibly fascinating story that really needs to be explored. Belizean story is considerably different from Jamaica, Barbados, and the socio-economic dynamics of these countries. Come, learn about Belize, love the food and love the people. Belize has lots to offer. And you can start here, at the Supreme Court of Belize, look out into the ocean, and imagine the ships and the people that have come and gone.

In January we came across the Supreme Court of Belize, it is stunning and makes you look at it. I loved the clock tower and shortly after when we returned they had the local prisoners painting it !!!

Beautiful colonial architecture
Nov 2017 • Couples
The iron work on the building is very beautiful! It is still a functioning courthouse as well. It is worth making a visit.
