I give it a 4-star because I had been to this place about a decade ago and had memories of seeing wonderful corals. This time not so. I think Hurricane that happened in August 2015 did a lot of damage to corals and to the island in general. The fish were though plentiful and Diving company & Guide I went... More

This marine reserve is in the barrier reef. We saw nurse sharks, rays and every kind of fish you can imagine!

Second biggest reef in the World! Sting rays, nurse sharks, sea turtles, fish everywhere! You will not be disappointed if you go out to the reef for a day of adventure. We were there at Christmas and swam for 1.5 hours without getting cold. I would go again in a second.

Hol Chan is a MUST SEE when visiting San Pedro. It was like swimming in an aquarium. Fish were abundant and we swam with nurse sharks, rays and more fish than I could number. Highly Recommended

Went on a night dive with Amigos del Mar in the marina reserve. Beautiful, plenty of marine life. The reef have been bleach due to the hurricane last year and climate change, so dont expect a colorful scenery.

One of many managed areas in San Pedro that is teeming with wildlife as even the fish no it is save to swim with the local small, harmless sharks and stingrays. Yes .. you can too .. as the stingrays will likely follow you until you feed them. Hol Chan is the busiest, Shark Ray Alley and Mexico rock are... More

BEAUTIFUL - I only snorkeled for 5-10 minutes before claustrophobia got me. However the view from the boat was amazing. I was able to get some great pics!

Shallow waters and plenty of marine life. The nurse sharks and stingrays are always there ready to show off in waters that are 6-10 feet deep.

We used the Lil'Alfons (sp?) charter to go to Hol Chan and Shark Alley. Our guide was awesome showing us the wildlife and I would definitely recommend both the charter company and the marine reserve is definitely worth the trip.
