We did the Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley snorkel tour and really enjoyed everything we saw. There were 4 of us - 3 snorkeled and 1 dove. We saw such a variety of fish and marine life, it was definitely worth the sickness I...More

Went for a night dive and it was average at best. Was last here 12 years ago and the intervening years have shown a decline in marine life. Locals said a lot of Hurricane damage a few years ago. Too bad. I love Belize.

In shallow waters off the coast of Ambergris Caye there is a popular attraction that allows humans to stand among sea turtles and small fish. It is over crowded and probably not good for the animals. Did not enjoy it

Hol Chan Marine Reserve is one of the best snorkeling places in San Pedro and in Belize on a whole. The visibility is great most of the time and your tour company will advise when its best to snorkel. Visit Shark way to snorkel with...More

Best snorkeling I’ve seen. Went twice. Lots of coral and fish. About 7 ft for much of it then down to 30ft for part. Rented a GoPro on second visit that was well worth it for great videos and picks (not downloaded from card yet).

I saw more fish and varieties of fish on this trip than I have ever seen snorkeling or diving. We saw sharks, Ray's, turtles and plenty of fish. New Day Adventures have us a private tour for a great price. Even though it was raining...More

Hold Chan Marine Reserve is a great place to see nurse sharks, stingrays, turtles and tons of fish. It is a great place to snorkel. Although a shallow dive, it still provides a great front row seat to the marine life in the area. The...More

This Marine Reserve is frankly rather dull when compared with some of the other coral reefs I have snorkeled. The only high point is spending time in the water with many hungry but harmless nurse sharks, whose worst action is sucking on your arm or...More

You will love snorkeling here. Look for any excursion with Lil Alfonse. I have a review on him. We stayed at the Xanadu Island Resort, which was wonderful. If you don't stay there, call them as they will know how to set... More

I can sympathize! the boat ride out there was 10 minutes, but I got queasy during the 40 min snorkel, and threw up over the side if the boat while we were waiting for the divers to come up. you are not supposed to stand on... More

We used Tuff E Nuff because they were convenient to our hotel. They were a little higher in price but provided a catamaran with food/drink. You can do a speed boat for less money. If you are staying in San Pedro there... More
