We enjoyed our day fossil hunting with Mark and his sidekick Darwin. We found at least a dozen superb ancient shark teeth. Amazingly, unlike shark teeth found at the beach, these teeth laying in a creek still had sharply serrated edges. We found fossilized bones including a mammal toe bone and file fish vertebra. Other folks on the same expedition... More

I have been out with Mark several times now, and ALWAYS find something new and unique to add to my Fossil collection! Thanks to Mark Renz, he has shown me how to hunt and how to help identify my finds. He has so much information about fossils and pre-historic life and imparts it on every trip. I will continue to... Thank you again Mark for providing us with a great family experience. Hard to believe it had been 5 years since we last spent the day with you in the Peace River! Thanks again for another memorable day last weekend. I love all that you have taught us and our son about fossils. You have such an easy going way... More

We went out fossiling with Mark and had so much fun. He is very knowledgeable and funny which made everything even more fun. We cannot wait for next year to go out again. I highly recommend fossil expeditions for your next adventure.

Mark was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable and very funny. His dog Darwin was with us on the adventure as well. We found a ton of stuff. Lots of big teeth, Bisin tooth, alligator tooth, turtle bones, a piece of a Mastodon tooth. SO MUCH FUN!

Mark Renz is knowledgeable and generous with his expertise. It was a fun and engaging experience for those who like to indulge in the outdoors. This dig requires wading into waist deep waters and scooping up gravel to screen. We brought home fossilized lemon shark teeth, other shark teeth, and fossilized bone shards. A fun way to bring home memories.

My college junior granddaughter and I (what can I say, we're girl nerds) took a creek walk-in tour as the river was too high for a kayak trip on the Peace. Mark led us to a private farm area where we were able to park beside a clear tributary creek shaded by oaks and cabbage palms. Nearby, we saw lots... More

If the idea of spending several hours standing in a river dredging mud and clay appeals to you, you are going to love taking a fossil expedition. This is not an easy day. You may have to ford a river while carrying supplies. The water can be cold and deep, and the dredging can be strenuous. However, the payoff can... More

We are a family of five, the kids are 13,11and 10. We had a great time on the fossil dig. It was amazing to be digging up bones from prehistoric land and marine animals in a little Florida creek. We all had a great time, an experience we will never forget.

Our day on the river was incredible with Mr. Mark as our guide! Our group of ten which ranged from 8 year olds to 50 year olds all had an incredible experience finding and identifying a wide variety of fossils including prehistoric reptiles, mammals, and of course lots of shark teeth! Although we did not find a Megalodon tooth, just... More
