We live close by and visit often. There's plenty to do with the Springs to swim in. You can rent canoes and go canoeing, there's an equestrian center at the far end of the park, plenty of areas to cook/grill out, playground for kids and many hiking trails. There's lots to explore in a natural Florida environment. They have a... More

We visited Wekiwa on a Tuesday and it was blissfully quiet after the noise and chaos that is Orlando. Canoes and Kayaks can be rented, and there are plenty of trails to appeal to all sorts of people, which meander through natural vegetation. The spring pool is perfect for swimming. There are restrooms - but they are not great. The... More

This place is awesome. Definitely the perfect setting for any occasion. The grounds are well kept and the kayaking is a must do!

We wanted to see what Florida looked like without manmade attractions so hired a car in Orlando. Took about 45 mins to hour to get there. It was beautiful. An amazing day! Hired a kayak and went to wekiva island for brunch. Excellent gator tacos (but only one cup of coffee they'd run out!). Then back into kayak and up... More

We planned to spend the day here biking because we had read somewhere that there was a great bike trail. We drove in and thought the park was beautiful and the springs captivating. We never imagined the water would be so blue and crystal clear. A volunteer at the nature center greeted us and explained how to find the trail... More

This area is wonderful. We didn't swim but certainly could have. Water is 72 degrees. The board walks are great for strolling, walking, jogging etc. You couldn't find a better place to spend peaceful morning.

We went camping for a couple of nights. The sites are shaded and we'll kept. Spent time exploring the trails and swimming in the spring. We chose not to bring our kayaks as getting to the put in is not convenient.

We saw the signs for Wekiva Springs while driving through town. On a whim we decided to stop and check it out. I am so happy we did! The entry fee was $6.00 for the three of us. The Springs were crystal clear and not too crowded at all, we came on a Wednesday. There is a playground and lots... More

the Springs are pristine and scenic. I rented a kayak and went down the river. And when the weather is cold...a dip in the springs seems warm - 72 degrees. lots of wildlife. saw about 20 wild turkeys right by the springs and hawks resting on the stop signs. and go to the nature center. you learn a lot about...
