We have taken many beach vacations over the years with our children and now our granddaughter. This was one of our favorite beaches. Not very busy or commercialized. Beautiful sand and calm waters. Very relaxing. Great shelling! We stayed on the mainland but would love...More

Beautiful! This beach is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. There are no lines of beach chairs for rent, no parasailing, jet ski or banana boats. No public bathrooms or resort condominiums. Just the beautiful beach and sand dunes. Parking can be an issue...More

Bean Point and Anna Maria Island has been overtaken by too many tourists and lost its old Florida charm. Go elsewhere.

Just came back from a week in Anna Maria, and Bean Point was definitely on my to do list. Beautiful white sand, large wide beach area, great place to just remove yourself from the world. Great place to take the kids shelling, there were thousands...More

Unbelievable spot of the Gulf Ocean. Has super clear turquoise water, soft white sand, shells, sand dollars and starfish to find. Great place to watch the sunrise and sunsets!!

Wonderful beach, white sands, blue seas but swimming can be a problem with strong tide currents in places. This is a must visit place but caution is necessary with the water at the point.

We walked from the Rod and Reel after lunch, the sand is so soft. We looked for shells on our walk and watched the birds. A storm started to roll in and cut our trip short but loved the time we had.

I visit Anna Maria Island at least twice a year and love going to Bean Point. It's such a secluded and quiet getaway and tends to be fairly low traffic. Being the point of the island, the waves come in at different angles and make...More

This beach is amazingly beautiful. This is a beach to go to if you want to enjoy the beauty of nature. It is not a swimming beach because of strong undertows and has no lifeguards. Parents would need to keep a very close visual on...More

Bean point was absolutely beautiful. We went aroubd sunset and it was an amazing sight. The rip tides people talk about weren't bad at all.

Probably the north end of the island .
We come to AMI every summer, but have always stayed in the Holmes Beach area. This year we are staying in Anna Maria and will be using the Newton Lane beach access. We have no experience with the beaches this far North. How close are we to Bean Point? Is it a walkable distance with a 5 and 8 year old? Also, is our direct beach are safe to swim or will our waters also be prone to the rip tides? I will take any other advice for the area, too! Thank you!!!

I always stay in Holmes and walk up to the Sand Bar every morning for my exercise. This year, one day, I decided to walk around the island to the bay side instead of doing a round trip walk. The beach on the north side of... More
