Lovely unspoilt wide beaches with beautiful sand which is almost white in colour. Two bodies of water at this point with distant views towards St Petersburg/Tampa and the impressive skyway bridge.Pleasant lowrise homes line the shore.

Bean point is where the Gulf meets the Bay, so there are rip tides at the convergence of these great waterways. While not a place for swimming and probably not the best choice for kids who want to splash around, for adults who want a...More

We went because of reviews that said it was "breathtakingly beautiful". I would never bash a beach, I love them all. But this is not breathtakingly beautiful. It's beautiful like any beach is but there not worth a special trip when the whole island has...More

As good as any beach in the world. Soft white sandy beach but don’t expect any facilities like restrooms or cafe bars on the beach. If you want peace, quiet, space and time to relax then perfection .

There are so many great beaches here, you could visit a different one every day. Great spot to walk in the water or bring a chair and book and spend the time working on your tan!

Whenever we come here on our annual visit from the UK, we always do a few walks round Bean Point- a beautiful stretch of unspoilt beachline. We get off the free trolley at the City Pier and walk anti-clockwise along the roads to the Rod...More

Great views, north tip of the island, a "must see" for any beach going fan. Not crowded, since it's a bit difficult to get to...sometimes hard to find parking nearby since it's a little residential neighborhood at the north tip of the island.

I don't know. We had a pool at our condo so that wasn't something I was looking for.

Definitely not a snorkelling area! The currents are very powerful as it is at the confluence of Tampa Bay and the Gulf. You only have to take one look at the water to see how strong the current is.
