Plenty of parking at this nice quiet preserve. The entrance is right across the street from Coquina Beach on Gulf Drive on Anna Maria Island. We visited at 9am on a Monday and were the only ones there, except for 3 fishermen out in the bay in their waders. Saw lots of shore birds & the pelicans were actively feeding.... More

This is where we started our day trip. Nothings far away so we had no problem finding this walk. Its just at the beginning of gorgeous Coquina Beach. Its a free little protected area and worth a stop. Theres a nice view from the top of the water and a little boardwalk where you can catch a view of the... More

Cooler weather kept us off the beach and this was a good activity after lunch. Not a long walk, maybe about a mile in all. Good views, easy trail.

I love this spot just for walking on the sand, photo ops, etc. the photos speak for themselves. Park on the far left side of the coquina beach parking lot and head towards the bridge.

Went there early morning when it was quiet and it is certainly worth a visit. Watched the fish jumping in the lagoon as did a large blue Heron standing in the shade. Well constructed board walk which had fishermen on the end and I'm sure would be a haven for photographers.

Went to Coquina baywalk with our three kids. It was easy enough for our two year old to walk by herself. There was a lot to see with many different birds and plants. I am sure that you could see some animals as well, but little kids tend to not be quiet enough for that. Overall, worth the trip if... More

Across the beach boardwalk with Sarasota Bay views. Refreshing and inspiring. We were hoping to see some birds, but during the day there were non. Try earlier in the morning.

I went early to see the sunrise there. It was such a nice and calm atmosphere at that time. Only birds, the sea and me. The walk is not too long, approximately 20 minutes, so its easy to do it before breakfast.

Pleasant walk alone or with another. I would probably take the stroll during the cooler months to avoid the tropical humidity.
