Beautiful drive up to the lake. Park and walk (hike) almost 2 hours to Crater Lake...incredible and a must discovery.

There are many different trails in Maroon Bells at all levels. The Lake Scenic trail is probably on of the easier trails and you get equally beautiful views.

As long as you're going around the lake, it is an easy hike and you get to experience Maroon Bells from each angle.

Yes, the Disabled placard is one of the exceptions for users who can drive into the Maroon Bells area. There is a $10 recreation use fee. See stayaspensnowmass for more details

I dont know about the parking but i can tell you about the trail. It is narrow at some points (need to move in a single file, one after another) and wider at other points. It is definitely rocky but not very steep. I mean... More
