Absolutely love this place! Came here in late summer when all was still green and then around peak of Fall. Both times lovely. Possibly preferred fall due to the relief in color. You have to bus in to the Maroon Bells area during the summer...More

When in Aspen you must go to Maroon Bells. We were there in October when the foliage was changing colors. Absolutely spectacular. The hiking was great. Can't way enough. We will return.

Do not miss coming here!!!! Beautiful mountains and snow. Can't miss. The drive from aspen is about 20 minutes then you will park and walk. Well worth it! Just bring water and snacks as there are no places nearby to buy things

Wow, what a view of the Maroon Bells' peaks in Colorado. Bill, our hotel guide from Aspen Meadows recommended an absolute must while in Aspen. We end up hiking to both Maroon Lake and Crater lake while here. We would also recommend this place highly.

We were lucky to visit Maroon Bells on a beautiful sunny day in November. Very peaceful with excellent hikes. The water was crystal clear.

This area is famous for this spot and a trip to Aspen wouldn't be complete without a stop here. Now, research this ahead of time. You cannot drive here between 8am and 5PM. If you arrive between those hours, you have the option of paying...More

One of the most photographed ranges in the world. You can drive up during the shoulder seasons but during the summers they provide a bus for traffic control. It does get busy, so I suggest either an early morning visit, before 8am or after 5pm...More

You should call the Aspen Chamber of Commerce or the National Forest Service/National Parks Service to find out for sure, but I think the road is probably closed for the season. You can hike (or snowshoe or cross-country... More

There are no tours, and I am not sure the buses are running this late in the year now. The park might be closed for the season, but that seems really weird! If it's still open and no buses are running (they are just shuttle... More

We're here now (10/7). Color is still here but fading fast. Lots of aspens have lost all or part of their leaves but still gorgeous!
