We took our 15 month old grandson in the gondola last week and he loved it. He enjoyed looking out in all directions, especially fun since he’d never seen snow. The gondola is, of course, the skiers’ conveyance up to the top, but it’s fun...More

We rode the Gondola to the peak of Aspen Mountain and ate lunch at the Sundeck Restaurant. The views are amazing, and you will not be disappointed. The ride is about 15 minutes in an enclosed gondola, but you can open the side windows for...More

Ajax is not a huge mountain. Once you take the gondola, you'll be at the top, right next to the Sundeck Restaurant. At the base of the gondola there's a room with some lockers and some cubby holes to change and store your bag, shoes......More

If it's a windy day, this gondola seems to operate at a snail's pace. In better weather it is the fastest way to get up to the really excellent slopes higher up Ajax.

Rode the gondola to the top to meet our group of skiiers for lunch. Great food choices and scenery. Took advantage of professional photographer for family Christmas photo. Nice fireplace seating area and balconies with views.

Beautiful views and smooth ride. Watching the skiers was an added bonus. Great people watching at the top and bottom in winter.

Went to the top of Ajax (Aspen) mountain for lunch. The gondolas seat 4-6 people (but at off peak hours it's not uncommon to ride with one or two others, or even alone). They are clean and well maintained. The view of the surrounding mountains...More

The regular Four Mountain lift ticket covers all lifts and gondolas. A "foot pass" for non skiers is available for a reduced price.
