Took the gondola up and sat for a spell in the lodge. Very nice and the views in the dining area are spectacular.

I love Aspen and the skiing is a bit crowded on the big weeks but the snow is terrific and there is so much to see in the town. Best cafes and fun night life. Amazing shopping too, of course.

We stopped here to have a drink and enjoy the view. Our waitress was delightful and talked with us at length about the area. We even saw a bear on the mountain as we sat there.

This was/is the most spectacular place on earth I have ever visited. Fall colors unbelievably stunning at every turn, I snapped 427 pictures and everyone a winner . I will return and return and return, never to be forgotten .

blue routes and green routes sometimes cross and the safest route if you want to stay on green is a little confusing. some of the greens should be blues.

My first gondola ride in Aspen area. And the ride was long but exhilarating. Top of the mountain has a lot of activities for the kids of all age groups. Nice restaurant but was getting closed as we got there a little late in the afternoon - 4ish. Nice views all around. We also saw a marriage party.

Gondola ride was so much fun. It can be deceptive if your going for the first time like us..once you cross the first mountain that is when the fun begins. Do not miss this ride.

Aspen Mountain is beautiful but you have to stand in line and take the gondola and the getting there by car is terrible. Some places on the road you have to make sure another car isn't coming because it is a one lane. In the city it is so crowded you barely can get around. To find a parking space... More

If you're in Aspen for the summer, you HAVE to carve out some time to take the gondola up to the top of Aspen Mountain/Ajax, and just soak in all the mountaintop has to offer for a few hours at least... you have to. And there are a TON of options -- you can hike one of several beautiful trails... More
