We went on a weekday in Fall and there were very few people in the water. The ocean was glassy and visibility at 100'. The highlight was swimming between two big sea bass, about 4 to 5 feet long.

You can definitely snorkel on a day trip, it's really easy even for a beginner and there is a lot to see. You can do an intro to scuba tour without being certified which can also be done in a day trip but scuba is a bit more... More
