Perfect little mountain lake. The boat in camping is very fun and the water is crystal clear mountain water. Pretty cold but good in the summer and fall. The access road is steep, windy and tight so driving in with a big boat is tough, but the water is glass for skiing.

What a beautiful trail and lake, so close to Sacramento/Roseville/etc. Was so surprised to find this a 20 minute drive from Rocklin, teeming with nature! It's got plenty of different options from the Lake Clementine Trailhead, and we did the easiest trail to the Dam, which ended up around 4 miles round trip. The ground was level for the most... More

Have lived in Auburn for over 15 years and just last week took time to visit Lake Clementine. Because of the big rain storm we have just had, the park was full of locals wanting to see the effect of all the rain. I'll visit again in the summer.

This is a small, narrow canyon lake with one small & crowded launch ramp & very limited parking so plan ahead. The scenery is very nice & there is a nice beach area at the campsites.

Lake Clementine Trail is a beautiful hike. Trailhead starts just off the 49 and old foresthill road. Plenty of parking along the road but you must pay a $10 fee. If you arrive before the ranger make sure to pay the slip because they check. Trail is fairly easy with a few hills. You hike under the Foresthill Bridge and... More

We've been canoeing at Lake Clementine with friends and family over the last 10 years. I'm conflicted about posting this review because it's such a nice an undiscovered place, except for weekends. We usually go there during the week to avoid the weekend crowds. Our favorite time of the year is fall, winter is also especially quiet and peaceful. Pack... More

What a gorgeous little jewel nestled in the foothills! The road to the lower part of the lake is paved, windy, narrow--car and a half width as you get closer to the lake--and completely on a downhill slope. In leaving we met folks in a pickup truck that was towing a rather large boat--car and a half wide--with two vehicles... More

Lake Clementine is a hidden lake best reached via short hike from the parking area. Bring snacks or a lunch, dogs and kids as well. The uphill hike is along a mostly paved road. If you've the time, another short walk down a path near the dam leads to great views of the water coursing over the spillway. Keep a... More

This is a bit hidden. It's where the locals boat and swim with care as there is a damn there. Not much parking but it great for hiking and sitting on the ledge overlooking the damn. It is very serene in summer and a bit dicey in the spring as the Sierra's melt. You will love it. Watch out for... More
