Atascadero's Charles Paddock Zoo is simply amazing. This small, hometown, zoo is home to hundreds of wonderfully unique individuals. (Some human!) After watching this zoo "evolve" for more than 5 decades, our family still marvels in how well cared for it's inhabitants are. Make sure...More

For a small town zoo, its pretty average. Don't come expecting Seattle or San Diego! If you would like to come to the sweetest park, with a lake and a beautiful setting. Then have a picnick and take in the zoo, it's pretty nice, and...More

This is a very small zoo but it has some cool species exhibits and they seem to take good care of the animals. Not usually very crowded so a nice place to take the family and it's at a nice lake park.

Such a fun place for the whole family, I have been going for as long as it has been open. I have seen it go through so many changes, and every one has been for the better.'

We have been to the zoo many times and each time is a new experience. This zoo is very child orientated so don't forget to bring them along.

A small zoo but a very nice and humane history and good community support. Delightful for children but a pleasant diversion for adults too.

This zoo is the perfect size for a 2 year old's attention span. There are many different animals to see. Her favorites seemed to be the meerkats and reptiles. It looks like they are working to upgrade some enclosures. The animals seemed healthy and happy....More
