We had a look at stills, distilling pots, and all that goes into the work of distilling spirits. it's not so much of a tour but a shuffle (sticking pretty much in one area, but hey! it's an industrial workplace). We got a small taste of six of the products at the end -- a green chile vodka (it makes... More

If you like great spirits and an interest in how it's made this is a fun spot to visit. We went yesterday with another couple and did the 90 minute taste and tour. They also have a 30 minute taste but that's $15.00 and the 90 minutes is $20 so it's a much better deal for the 90 minutes. The... More

Worth doing the tour. I've done it a couple times now. Very informative and a good experience. Doing the tour and tasting includes a discount on purchases. And of course you the location has one of the best views in town. A very enjoyable experience for locals and visitors!

The tour was extremely interesting. I am local but had only had a tasting before. The tour includes a tasting. The facility is in a former aircraft hangar from the now-deactivated Alameda Naval Air Station. It makes use of the space for distilling, barrel aging, bottling, shipping, etc. The tasting room faces an unobscured view of the bay and San... More

We had a great time! Our Bartender Maggie really knew her spirits and was able to explain what was in our spirit flight tasting! This is a great location in Alameda!

We make sure we stop by St. George anytime we are visiting Alameda. We took the tour once, but now we just go back to do a tasting and see if they have anything new. On this occasion, they had the Dry Rye Gin back in stock so I bought two bottles to take home with me. They start with... More

I have done both the tour and just the tasting. The tour is super informative and well done if you have the time. If you have less time the tasting is also great. Our server had lots of recipe ideas for the different spirits, and was so knowledgeable and fun ! The spirits are outstanding. Our favorites were the terroir... More

I was expecting minimal education as most distillery and vineyard tours go. But we were wowed! Check in was easy. Tour started promptly. Shiraz (sp?) was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and hilarious (we want to be-friend him, hang out more and chat!) Then there's the tasting. We've loved St George spirits since moving to SF but... More

We've been to a few distillery tours and tastings and this is by far the best. The tour guide was informative on the distilling process and the history while still being very entertaining. So glad we made the time for this stop at the end of our trip!
