We went into the museum inside the gift shop- had a bit of geology / formation of the mountain, attractions around Superstition/Thundergod Mountain and the "Lost Dutchman", and local artist DeGrazie - so I recommend it. Helpful folks working the shop so ask questions. Can...More

Small quirky museum inside. Plan on 15 to 60 minutes depending on your museum style. We enjoyed the outside exhibits more. Old mining equipment, old barn, Elvis chapel, extensive model railroad, nice views, favorite was the blacksmith exhibit where we got to watch him turn...More

A nice surprise in AJ. The model train display is awesome - take your time and find all The little surprises tucked in the display. Everyone that volunteers there were so friendly and full of info. All the displays were so interesting. Nice stop!

We arrived in Apache Junction and decided to get to know the area. We first went to the gift shop, which was small but had both local and foreign items. We then paid the small admission into the museum. It begins with the fascinating geology...More

I do not believe you can, it's on a good road, and any taxi could take you. But I do not believe there is a bus that goes that way. It's about 4 miles from the nearest bus stop.
