On a sunny afternoon, we drove on this highway and reached the summit after two hours from the East gate of Yellowstone National Park. The scenery was wonderful and beyond comparison. If you are visiting Yellowstone, don't miss this One....!

It was fantastic, among others for the huge packs of snow. We did expect more of it though. Great road

This is one of the most breathtaking Highway to drive, so beautiful, even in middle September when it can already be cold, windy and stormy with little bit of snow. Can not imagine how it must even look during summer time. It was so worth...More

We drove from Cooke City to Red Lodge in sunshine although the weather closed in and the pass was closed the following day. So check the forecasts and do it when you can! The scenery was stunning and there are plenty of pullouts so that...More

I read about this road and found videos of it taken on GoPros on YouTube, and I can tell you that nothing really prepares you for how spectacular it is in person. The late Charles Kuralt from CBS labeled it as the most beautiful road...More

It's so great!! I want to ride it again! We rode motorcycles from Red Lodge to Cooke City. I wished we had time to ride back to Red Lodge so at least I could see everything from the other direction! Not kidding on how hell-roaring...More

I have backpacked throughout Glacier National Park, driven through the Alps and seen quite a few mountains around the world, but for a spectacular drive and incredible mountain scenery the road between Yellowstone Park and Red Lodge, Montana over the Beartooth Highway is almost impossible...More

3.5 hours is too short. Allow 1 full day, and pack a sandwich , this is very photogenic place, and you will make stops every 10 minutes.
