We visited this serene picturesque area along the St Croix river on the border between Minneapolis and Wisconsin in the summer of 2014. Took in the St. Croix River Visitor Center which has a 15-20 minute film on the river and habitat. Numerous displays - hands on and very informative. Didn't realize their were 40 different kinds of mussels here.
