Bustling to boot! Great little vibe with an upstairs and downstairs (where the coffee shop is). Parking in back behind the stores too.

Bookstores and Libraries are my go to in every city and Politics and Prose was awesome. I try to get there each time I’m in DC. I picked up some magnets and bookmarks.

P&P is a truly fine independent bookstore. Downstairs is a great cafe and gathering place and a very large selection of books for children. P&P hosts a remarkable series of speakers addressing a packed audience. It has book clubs. In addition to all the wonderful...More

It's less stellar on prose than politics. Even after many changes, it's still a very good book store and neighborhood gathering place. The readings are often enjoyable and edifying. The children's section downstairs is particularly wonderful. The cafe is alright and often crowded.

I have attended several events over the years. I do not recall numbered tickets. Seating is first come first served. For very popular authors, the organizers have shifted the venue to an auditorium. Most authors stay to... More
