Great place to stroll around and enjoy the ambiance. Pudding' is a pop-up with AWESOME food. Shrimp and grits. Bourbon bread pudding. Etouffee. I enjoyed it so much, I went twice in one day - lunch and dinner.

This place has become quite the destination for a lot of locals, mainly young people and some families. Tourists haven't discovered this place yet, it seems (not many people taking pictures as tourists are wont to do). It is a good place to get some...More

I came during the week for dinner with business colleagues. We ate at the one sit-down restaurant in order to best facilitate our conversation.

Great place to eat. I tried everything and let me tell you must go and eat oysters with a good wine. Try the korean tacos they sound very weird at the beginning since they put a lot of asian stuff in a regular taco but...More

This is in an old warehouse and contains many stalls of vendors. Some of the stalls are permanent; others are traveling. They have everything there for purchase from ice cream, art work and a sustainable fish and seafood butcher. There are tables and chairs set...More

Very millenial with all the ways to splurge on various ethnic eats and interesting but likely unnecessary goods. Good spice shop, bakery, butcher, fish, green grocer, cheese shop and many different casual style restaurants/bar style service or take to table inside or out. Pleasant and...More

So this market is indeed a good mix of prepared foods, lunch stalls, produce, dairy, bakery, coffee, etc. Good quality. Good atmosphere. Clean. BUT, it's in an area that is still in the beginning stages of being gentrified, so unless you drive to it (and...More

Excellent options for many types of food - seafood, thai, coffee, cheese, fresh meat etc. Free parking is a huge plus. Indoor and outdoor seating, was a nice sunny day with lots of people, very crowded on Mother's Day. Really nice to see diverse age...More

A great place to shop for groceries and other stuff. Grab a bite of the different varieties of food. parking can be a chore and you could get blocked in quite easily. Still worth a try.

I heard Florida Ave. is hilly. Can an older person walk up ok, to get to the Market?

The market is on a slight grade, but nothing strenuous. I usually walk over from the nearest Metro and have never noticed the grade, as it is so gradual.

Planning a dc visit and curious - is this a collection of shops, restaurants, etc, sort of like a farmers market, or is it like one restaurant? Sounds cool, just unsure exactly what it is.

It is like a farmers market. I would think though its more food vendors are here. There is a stall for produce, seafood, and meats, but you can 100 percent eat here.
