The newest of the Mall's monuments it is a fitting tribute to a man of action. There is an irony in a man of Dr. King's stature and skin colour being modeled out of white sandstone. Just off the Mall it is well worth the...More

A large statue of an inspirational leader who fought for the rights of the ethnic community. Around the statue facing the basin are larger than life tablets of stone with some parts of his speeches engraved into them. Very impressive to say the least.

This memorial makes me proud to be an African American Male. The tribute to MLK Jr. is exceptional. The location is perfect! I plan to return next time i'm in the city.

This was my first visit to DC and I wanted to see the MLK memorial. It’s huge. It’s definitely something to see at least once.

Visited with wife and kids during thanksgiving. Was a great time to visit. Relatively quiet. A newer monument. It’s a powerful visit. Done very well. Wanted my kids to experience more history than just reading about it. They were moved by the display.
