We really enjoyed the White House Visitor Center. We were unable to get on a White House tour so decided to check this out. It was great. Really cool to see the different artifacts from presidencies and learn about the history and details of the white house. This opens earlier than the other museums and is free. We went at... More

Neat little museum and info and details of the history of the White House. We didn't have much time here as it closes at 4. Worth taking the time to stop... also a nps stop for stamps in our books!

I don't know what we were expecting but this was not it. When you have all these beautiful, amazing monuments outside going into this little visitors center was boring. We thought there would be awesome gift shop, but it was very lame. Teenagers will really dislike it

Lots of great pictures & artifacts. Really enjoyed the slide show of Presidents enjoying family time. There are restrooms as well, and conveniently located across the street from the White House check in line.

We were disappointed that The White House had no stand-by tour tickets as stated on some of the White House websites and from the correspondence that I received from my California Senator's office. I spoke to one guard who told me that all guest must submit their request at least two months in advance for White House tours for security... More

This is a small center. The video is worth watching and letters to the president worth reading. The gift shop had some nice, affordable pieces of jewelry and other gift items.

As there where no tours of the White House going on due to the change in administration, this place gives a good insight into the White House and the goings on. It has a really good movie and viewing area narrated by past presidents and First Ladies. Well worth a visit whilst you can't visit the White House.

Another NPS goldmine of information and available for all thanks to out tax dollars... My son loved the scale model of The White House the best, and this is where you can get at least two np passport cancellation stamps and get sworn in as an official President's Park Junior Ranger. The staff in the gift shop were great and... More
