This studio is amazing! I’ve been practicing there for years. The teachers are awesome and the ownership has an inspiring dedication to social justice issues. The other reviewer here is totally bogus-probably someone who doesn’t read the membership terms which are straightforward and normal across any US studio (you’re charged monthly until you cancel-duh).

It's sad that these days we have to be so vigilant EVEN when dealing with companies and organisations that look like they should have values. So.. this post is a bit of a WARNING for all of us who love travel and love Yoga. I'm sure many of us purchase one month passes while on the road. This post is for anyone passing by Washington DC. There are many great places to practice Yoga.. So choose wisely. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE Yoga District YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS. If you are signing up for their one month trial - PAY CASH. They have been taking $97 each month from my credit card since June. I was utterly shocked to see how much had been taken without any contract, permission or authorization.. And after looking at Yelp - it looks like they have stolen from others. To rub salt into the wound.. my emails politely asking for a resolution have been viewed a number of times with no apology, no response, and no attempt to communicate whatsoever. Fraud committed by a company (who in theory), should be running in line with Yoga values.. like not stealing.. somehow feels worse than fraud committed by some big corporate. I would not be posting this warning if the company responsible made some attempt to communicate and make things right. It worries me that other people will be burnt :(
