This Capitol Visitor Center is relatively new, I believe, and it's a good central location for those who want to tour the Capitol. We had a tour with a staffer from our Representative's office, so mostly just walked through a couple of the areas. It...More

Definitely go online and get tickets for the US Capitol tour, also request tickets for the senate hall tour. It only is offered twice a day 11am and 2pm. If you love art and restoration you must do it. I have three teenagers and they...More

After touring the Capitol, we ate lunch in the cafeteria. It is expensive, but worth it to be able to say that we ate there. The food options are great. There's sandwiches, salads, wraps, and soups. It was crowded, but we were able to find...More

The US Capital Visitor Center is a wonderful opportunity to get a understanding of how the US Congress operates and see historical artifacts of US history. I was very impressed on what I saw and very glad I took the time to visit.

The tour is very interesting with so much of US history to see and so much to learn. Unless you are a professor of US government, you will learn something. You can visit your Senators and reps offices and ask questions and see what they...More

The Visitor Center allows you to take an abbreviated tour of some parts of the Capitol. It starts with a 15 minute movie, then you continue into the crypt, the Rotunda and the statue hall. The guide is very knowledgeable and the Rotunda is spectacular....More

Organized for those with advance passes and walk-ins. Many tour guides and head phones for a basic tour. You can wonder around as you like and security is watching you.

A must trip for everyone but be warned it is very busy during the summer. Contact your Representative or Senator for passes to see the House or Senate. Beautiful architecture and very knowledgeable guides. Great food choices in the cafeteria but kinda pricy like everything...More

Queued for this attraction, giving the title, its not a tour of the US capitol building, first, security is tight, no food or drink can be taken in, you then get your ticket for your timed tour, 1st, you are taken into a theatre, watch...More

You don't need your passport or ID to just visit the Capitol. Everyone goes through Security screening, which is basically like airport screening. However, if you want an official tour then you would have to book either... More

I agree with my fellow advisors. See the Library of Congress and/or the Supreme Court instead. Both also have superb bookstores.

Just like the others, I think it would be best to contact the visitor center directly. My guess would be not, but that is just a guess
