Bundle up and enjoy the holiday lights guiding the Zoo pathway. This is great for all ages. Warm up and enjoy the exhibit halls that are open. They even have hot chocolate & kettle-corn you can buy to help warm up. Admission is free. Onsite...More

Nothing like walking in this zoo with all the holiday lights glowing. Such a neat place. So glad we were able to go.

A free zoo is always a good place to start. It's a beautiful park as well as a zoo, which is always a nice touch.

I mean it is free, so you can't complain too much. But there are a lot of better zoos that are also free in the US. I will say the "O Line" and the pandas are pretty cool.

This is a great zoo which you can take public transit and walk to, since it's right in the middle of a neighborhood. The only time we have seen pandas, so worth the trip just for that. Also has a good gorilla exhibit.

The lights are beautiful and unforgettable! It was lots of fun - took lots of pictures! If you don’t like being around lots of kids, don’t go.

Zoos are always fun and to see the animals reminds you in this busy city how important and interconnected we all are with nature. During our venture the lions seemed to be making a special point of posing which thrilled our teenager.

The zoo was empty but the animals were active. They have the place decked out in lights for the holidays. Free admission as always with $22 for parking...fair trade.

We went to the National Zoo for Zoolights 2017 as my daughter-in- love wanted to go. She didn't steer us wrong! It was great fun and so pretty. It was a great way to begin our Christmas season!

Better yet, take the Metro to the Zoo! No parking worries! Get off at Cleveland Park and just a short walk to the Zoo.

It appears to be ADA compliant. There is paved paths everywhere, as others noted, there are some hills. I would recommend entering in the main entrance, see the panda area, then head to the green path, which slopes downward... More
