A DC landmark

This is what most people associate with DC. Quite e nice (and long!) walk from the Capitol to the Lincoln memorial. WWII memorial and smithsonian museums also not to be missed.

The national mall is used by locals and tourists and is a lovely place to be on a fine day. The entire space is beautifully kept and a pleasure to spend time in

A must walk when in Washington by bike, Segway or foot. So much to see, the Capital, the memorials, and monuments and nice open park like setting walk. We saw the colors changing in November on the trees making fall like beauty A must walk day or night..

Bring plenty of water, comfortable shoes, and just take your time and enjoy the many gorgeous memorials, Smithsonian Museums, Capitol tour, take a peek at the White House, there is so much to do and it doesn't cost anything but time.

With it being our first time in DC, the National Mall is pretty impressive. We were lucky to have a beautiful day and not busy at all. A must see!

So many magnificent monuments along this (lengthy) walk. Give yourself the best part of a day, a sunny day preferably.
