My wife and I went to see the Gettysburg installation which was simply awesome. Absolutely awesome. We ended up walking around and catching a cool LEGO exhibit by Wei Wei and several other exhibitions, including some interactive ones.

While you are walking on the National Mall you can take a slight detour and visit the Hirshhorn sculpture garden. There are some interesting sculptures here in a nice garden setting.

Wei Wei! I ubered there from Arlington. It wad about $6. Thr museum itself is frer. Enjoy! You need about 2 hrs to walk through

With all the attractions on the National Mall you might overlook this smaller museum. Don’t. The exterior sculpture display is wonderful. Inside we saw two special exhibitions that were remarkable. These took about an hour and a half to view so the place is manageable....More

It depends how crowded it is and what exhibit is there-weekends usually require more time

I would say an hour or so depending how much you enjoy the exhibits.
