We rode the subway to the closest stop to the White House. There's a lot of people. Not much to see or do here except take a picture.

It is beautiful, but you can not get near it due to safety. It is iconic, however, even though it is USA history, it feels OFF limits. Retired USAF disabled veteran could not get a ticket for tour even with 1 1/2 months notice. That...More

A definite must do if visiting DC, but plan ahead! I requested tickets from our congressman months in advance and because of my planning was able to secure the dates I wanted. Lots of security as you would imaging, had to provide SSN for all...More

I kind of did not get the 'wow' feeling when I saw White House. However I would not miss anything for a selfie! :-) Guess those who have the opportunity to visit the inners of the white house would have a different experience!

I really wanted to see the White House, but they keep you more than a block away. Pics even with zoom on barely pick it up. I was awfully disappointed, guess security has its price.

In DC with the family, a must since we were in the area. Had the tour, Nice for the kids to see in person!

I guess if you visit Washington this is the place everybody should see. Can no longer get too close to fence.

It's just a million times better seeing the White House in person than it is seeing it in a history textbook. So glad I stopped for a bit while visiting DC!

You expect sometimes too much after all the movies you see. I don’t know if this wasn’t a downgrade for the current president....

I don't think you'll have time to do both. It takes a while to get thru WH security and inside. You won't want to be too stressed and rushed once you finally get in. The capital building is not right around the cornet... More
