The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting pool is a very long, rectangular pool stretching from the steps of The Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument. It visually connects two of Washington's greatest monuments. It is a great place for a leisurely stroll. Calm, serene and beautiful, the sides are lined with trees and the whole area is gorgeous, especially on a nice... More

What could one say of such monument? The Lincoln memorial is simply breathtaking and majestic. It has an imposing yet calming effect. Most definite one of the USAs architectural masterpieces and a must visit when in Washington DC Ps: As one of the most popular sights it can get quite crowded. During peak hours it can be quite hard to... More

I love walking all the way down to this monument. You see it from so far away and then after you make it all the way up the gorgeous steps, you see this incredible monument of one of our most favorite presidents. I love hearing people talk about it when they are there for the first time. There's plenty of... More

Great place to relax and enjoy the view. Take stroll round the pool under the trees. Nestled nicely between Lincoln Memorial & WWII Memorial, which are both very good.

We came here at 10am on a Sunday morning & wanted to soak it all up. It was beautifully made - (I think it was built in 1922) and just had a peacefully & reflective place. It contains a large seated sculpture of Abraham Lincoln and inscriptions of his two well-known speeches "The Gettysburg Address" and his Second Inaugural Address.... More

I would recommend anyone to go and see the memorial. It's about a 30 minute walk from the Washington memorial.

This is one of the greatest memorials in a city of great memorials. The whole concept and design is simple but powerful. My favorite part of the memorial is not the inside, but rather the front steps. The many, many steps descend from the memorial to the Reflecting Pool, then on to the Washington Monument and continues through as the... More
